Sustainability

Our salmon comes from sustainable fishing. Sustainability is a matter close to our hearts. It ensures the preservation of wild salmon stocks as well as the entire delicate ecosystem closely associated with wild salmon. In Bristol Bay, the fishery is strictly monitored by the Alaska Fish and Game Board. It is responsible for ensuring that enough salmon enter the rivers and reach their spawning grounds to ensure the preservation of salmon stocks. There are so-called time windows during which fishing is allowed. These are monitored and enforced by the State of Alaska Police (the fisherman loses his license if he fails to comply). The State of Alaska takes a leading role in wild salmon research. The protection of wild salmon is anchored by law. For this reason, farmed salmon are prohibited by law in Alaska.
